Here is my first official DT card for 'The Cutting Cafe'. I made so much mess making this!!!
I dyed the card that colour using Adirondack alcohol inks - the very messy part!! - I wouldn't advise this as a method of colouring a card blank as it used more than half a bottle!! But once I'd started I couldn't stop! Love the effect it gave the card.
I then used the cupcake image from the 'Sweet Stuff Printable Stamp Set' from The Cutting Cafe (http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2009/05/sweet-stuff-printable-stamp-set.html). I built up the layers on the cake and coloured the case with sakura pens, the cake with aquamarkers and the icing with promarkers and stickles.
The cupcake is stuck on a silver scalloped circle which has clear doodle dewdrops around the edge. I used mirrored card candi from Craftwork Cards around the scalloped edge of the card.
Then just some flowers and sentiment from Craftwork Cards to hold up the easel and ribbon on either side of the base - with a bow on one side and some pearls on the other.
Let me know what you think...?
