Paris

This card is almost entirely from Craftwork Cards products. I have combined elements from the Tres Chic and Fruit Scoop collections.

I added some large pink gems in the middle of the centre flower, some small pink gems around the edge of the Eifell Tower and a strip of ribbon along the top of the tag behind the Eifell Tower. I also tried to curl the flowers up a bit so that they stood up off the page and added a bit more dimension.

Something different...

Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend!! Back to work tomorrow though :-(

I have something a bit different today. I covered these folders using papers from Polka Doodles' A double sprinkle of kraft CD.

The first one I made to use as a catalogue to show my previous cards for a craft fair I'm having a stall at in August. I added some pearlescent pink card, some ribbon, the Crafty Boots logo and made the word 'Catalogue' using the alphabets from the same Polka Doodles CD.

I also put 'Catalogue' on the spine and covered the two metal bits on the back with candi from Craftwork Cards.

The next one I made for myself as a little folder to keep notes and details of all upcoming DT work - there are sections inside for each DT I'm on.

I used the same spotty paper and CraftyBoots logo but this time added a little digi image Ruby from The Poodles Digi Doodles. I love all their digis and am also on the DT for their challenge blog, The Poodles Parlour which will be starting on 10th June. Ruby is my favourite image at the moment she's so cute!! I coloured her with Promarkers.

I'm planning to make a whole range of products along these lines including folders, notebooks, diaries and addressbooks. I will be selling them at a craft fair in Ipswich on 21 August but if anyone wants one get in touch at craftyboots@btinternet.com. The ones I'm currently planning will be in a variety of colours and with different images, including some suitable for boys. If you have any particular requirements this can of course be catered for!!

I hope you like these, I love mine!!

Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday!

You're SEW great

I made this card for a friend for her Mum's birthday. It's one of those cards that you notice more elements each time you look at it!

The sentiment, mannequin, tape measure, sewing machine, cotton reels, pin cushion. button jar and backing paper all came from Polka Doodles' 'Sundae of Seasons' CD.

I traced the jar onto acetate to put a clear front on top of the buttons I stuck on the jar I cut and coloured from the CD so you can see what's "inside".

I also put real cotton round the cotton reels and threaded a piece on the sewing machine from the reel right down to the needle.

In the pin cushion I stuck three pins and a needle with thread in addition to the pins that were printed on the image.

The scissors are real scissors - they came with a sewing kit but wouldn't actually cut any of the threads so were a bit useless. I then added to the card a button on the end of the tape measure, two more buttons along with a happy birthday sentiment and 'Mum' in crystal letters.

Father's day

Here is my first DT card for Easy Craft Projects challenges.

http://ecpchallenges.blogspot.com/

The challenge for this fortnight is a card for Dad.

This shirt and tie card was SO simple to make. I used the shirt&tie template from The Cutting Cafe.

For both the shirt and tie I used papers from Craftwork Cards. The sentiment is from the same set at The Cutting Cafe. The only other thing I did is paper pierced the edge of the pocket and drew some stitching with a white pen.

Green Warren

This card was made using a shaped card blank from Craftwork Cards and two backing papers from CWC's fruit scoop collection.

The image is also from CWC and is another cute little Warren the bunny! Warren has been coloured with promarkers and candies stuck around the edge of the image.

The sentiment is also from the fruit scoop collection and has another candi added to it.

Little tiger

Something a bit different today...

I don't do much scrapbooking but need to pull my finger out and finish this scrapbook over the summer as I started it as a baby book for a friend's baby and he's a year old today!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GEORGE!!

As George was born in 2010 this was the year of the tiger and in 2010 this was a metal tiger.

When I saw this tiger print felt in Hobbycraft I knew I had to get it for George's book to do these pages and this photo of George in Tigger PJs is perfect and just TOO cute!!!

The two little tiger images and backing paper are from Kirsty Wiseman's 'Call of the wild' CD and coloured with promarkers. I also added orange an dark brown card candies along the bottom of the felt on both pages.

Cheeky monkey

This card uses 'you color my world printable stamp set' from The CuttingCafe as the background.

This has been coloured with promarkers, as have the monkey and palm tree which are from Kirsty Wiseman's 'Call of the Wild' CD along with the Little Monkey speech bubble.

The happy birthday sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the ribbon is from my stash.

Fantasy flutterflies

I am so pleased with this card! So pink and shiny!!!

Ok where to start...

The pink polka dot backing paper on the background is Polka Doodles but I can't remember which CD it's from...

Then the pink glitter foam, I think came from the pound shop or The Works - somewhere like that anyway...

On top of the squares of glitter foam are squares of pink paper with tiny polka dots which is from Craftwork Cards. Over each of the squares, once the paper was mounted on the foam, I put a strip of pink polka dot ribbon.

The butterflies are from two of the flutterfly stamp sets from Polka Doodles. I stamped them using fantasy film to make them so shimmery and shiny!

The sentiment is also from Craftwork Cards and I added some pink pearls around the sentiment.

I don't very often send cards for no reason but this is one of those.  I made it for a very good friend "just because", to let her know she's a 'fab friend' - as the card says.  Haven't actually given it to her yet though so she may see it here first!!  (I think you know who you are xxxxx)

I am entering this card into Polka Doodles menu choice challenge (I chose pink, butterfly, ribbon and pearls)

http://polkadoodle.blogspot.com/2011/05/week-19-challenge-menu-choice.html

And into the Daring Cardmakers 'Bugs of May' challenge:

bugs of May

I love how cute this little ladybird is! She is from Polka Doodles 'Paper Boutique I' CD. I have decoupaged her up And added two doodle dewdrops on her antennae.

The sentiment is also from the same CD and I thought this image went so well with this lady bird patterned felt I found in Hobbycraft!

I am entering this card in the Daring Cardmakers challenge 'The Darling Bugs of May'.

Blog Award!

I almost forgot!!!  I didn't have time last night to blog this but the lovely Jacqui M gave me this award for my blog!  - Thanks Jacqui! (Check out Jacqui's blog, she designs her own adorable digis! http://thepoodlesdoodles.blogspot.com/)

So the rules are that I have to mention the person who gave me the award (see above), tell you 7 things about me, give the award to 7 other blogs and let the bloggers know.

Here goes...

7 things about me...

1) My craft room keeps moving, started in the spare room til it got too small then the corner of the kitchen until it got in the way, the basement til my papers started getting damp and now I've taken over the gym.

2)  I have 2 little craft buddies:

Lola lives on the shelf above my craft desk and always gets up to have a good look at what I'm doing!

Alfie like to have a good nose at what I'm doing (often ending up with his nose covered in glitter), although more often he is more interested in what Lola is doing than me!!

3)  I'm obsessed with boxes/storage!  I have boxes and drawers and all sorts of containers for everything (but never enough!!)

4)  I want to learn to draw - I'd love to be able to draw my own images like Jacqui M but my drawing skills are totally non existent at the mo!! (If anyone has any good tips of how to learn then please let me know)

5)  I am going to be selling my cards and a few other bits and pieces I've made at a fun day for Camille's Appeal at Suffolk Food Hall, Ipswich on Sunday 21st August (shameless advertising - if you live close then please come and look...maybe buy something!!)

6)  I have stopped crafting for a few weeks as I have some important exams on 13th and 15th June - after this I will be crafting all summer!!!  (Don't worry I have lots of cards saved up and scheduled to blog until then so you won't get rid of me that easy!)

7)  I'm going to Brighton next weekend to see Olly Murs!!! =)

Right... So my 7 bloggers to give this award to:

The rest of the Glitter Geeks:  (I would have also given it to Jacqui M but she gave it to me and Steph (http://pepperyapple.blogspot.com/ but Jacqui already gave it to her!)

Fantastic twitterers:
