Thankyou plaque

I made this plaque for my Mum and Dad back in July to say thank you for my birthday presents!

I started off with some art parts which I bought through the Crafty Boots Stash Savers Club.

I started off by colouring the base using dusty concord distress stain and then used the butterflies from the 'Bliss' stamp set from Crafty Boots

I stamped the butterflies in black ink all over the plaque and then sprayed it with Perfect Pearls spray, also from Crafty Boots.

I painted the flourishes on the frame with gold Perfect Pearls spray to make it stand out from the rest of the frame.

I painted the smaller frames with 'Pretty Pink' paint from Crafty Boots  and then stamped sentiments from the Fan and Thankyou Mae stamp sets, also from Crafty Boots!

Finally, I stamped the Butterflies from the Bliss set again but this time on grunge paper.  I stamped them in dusty concord and then painted them with the gold Perfect Pearls spray again.  Finally I added some tiny pearls to the butterflies.

To finish it off I used some pink ruffled ribbon from Stampin Up to enable the hanging of the plaque.

Tweet Tweet

The theme at Crafty Boots Challenges this fortnight is 'Tweet Tweet' set by Amy so we want to see projects with birds in!

For my piece I used Twitterpated fabric from Stampin Up and die cut a tag and the 'Caged Bird' die by Tim Holtz which I purchased through the Crafty Boots Stash Savers club.

I sprayed the tag with some glitter to make it sparkle a bit and finished off with a gem for the birds eye, everyday enchantment brads along the bottom of the cage and some gorgeous ruffled ribbon (also Stampin Up).

Head on over to Crafty Boots Challenges and join in with this challenge!

Summer Wryn

I've been a bad blogger but I do have a few cards to share.

First is one I made with my new Wryn clear stamps from Tiddly Inks. I love sweet little Wryn!

I coloured her with Copics and stamped the pattern which was from the same set directly on to the card base which is from Crafty Boots. Other than that I just added a few pearls and kept it quite simple!

I am entering this card in the current Tiddly Inks Challenge which is summer.

Postcards

The theme at Crafty Boots Challenges this week is postcards and I thought my RSVP cards fitted this theme pretty well!!

I had been looking for an excuse to buy this stamp set for ages and had the idea to do postcards for our wedding RSVP cards.

The "rich razzleberry" card and ink is from Stampin Up (via Amy at http://craftythinker.blogspot.com) and the rose pattern pearlescent paper is available through the Crafty Boots Stash Savers Club.

Hop on over to Crafty Boots Challenges to show your postcard or postcard inspired creations!
